Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last term of junior high. Her siblings include one of whom is older, named Gregory and a younger one named Evan. It was her first position in the industry. It was her first job from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors who have received this type of training. She got her first part in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move out to Los Angeles. Her debut role was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all of the stunts in the movie, and it helped establish her as an athletic actress. The talent agent she worked with also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to secure a role in the show Friends.
